this is Concussion Index, a new project reserved for longform semi-improvisational noise "experiments" via granular sampling and synthesis. i do not give in to these tendencies to make a 'racket' with my music, as it were, so very often. but this one came to me in a dream. i always wanted to make a noise project named Concussion Index. the question more pressing than when, was how.

you will find here: dilapidated and decaying feedback-osculated drones in constant worry of shattering into comminuted ephemera—the emissions of bungled, botched and faulty machine equipment (à la old hard drives, computers, phones, and the like) are fed into the granular sampler over and over, dissolving, fracturing, rebounding and delaying over and over into one another until it feels like there's nothing left to hold onto but the memory of the once functional machine.
